The Forrest Rockets looked like a different team than the one that limped out of Eagleville last week as they bounced back with a convincing 34-6 homecoming win over MTCS (0-7, 0-3) Friday night at "The Rock" in Chapel Hill.
"It's always good to win on homecoming, no matter how or by how much, it's fun," said FHS senior quarterback Brooks Lamb. "It's important to get this win tonight because it's a district win and if we can win out, we can be sure to be in the playoffs."

When you cannot score and cannot stop the other team from scoring, you lose.
"We didn't have any big plays tonight, it was non-existent," said Forrest head coach Joe Moos after the Rockets (3-3, 1-1) were thoroughly whipped on both sides of the ball at Eagleville (3-4, 2-1) Friday night, suffering a disappointing 32-7 loss that dropped them to fourth place in the District 9A standings. "We weren't able to move the ball and they had more opportunities and with those opportunities, they were able to expose our defense."
