With the homecoming game loss, Forrest ended the 2102 campaign with a 2-5 record.

With the homecoming game loss, Forrest ended the 2102 campaign with a 2-5 record.
The game started ominously for the Rockets when Moore County intercepted the Rockets on the first play from scrimmage.
Forrest's defense began a stellar performance by holding Moore County in check after the turnover when Branson Beech tackled Raider quarter Austin Holdermayer on a fourth down play.
Moore County returned the favor on the Rockets' series with a fourth down stop of their own on a tackle for a loss by Dustin Bell.
The first quarter ended in a scoreless draw and the Raiders were driving the ball well into the second quarter when Gavin Adams stopped Holdermayer at the 7-yard line on fourth down.
The first half ended with goose eggs on the scoreboard for both teams.
The Raiders downed the second half kick-off at their own 44-yard line and Holdermayer went to work, carrying the ball four consecutive times to pay dirt.
Holdermayer added the two-point conversions for an 8-0 Moore County lead with 6:09 remaining in the third quarter.
The Rockets responded with a long drive that used the remainder of third quarter and about a minute of the fourth, marching on a 13-play drive that culminated with Bryton Spiztley scoring on a 5-yard TD run.
Spitzley continued his stellar seventh grade season, rushing for 149 yards on 22 carries in the ballgame, including a couple of runs where he dragged Raider tacklers for extra yardage.
The Rockets' defense stopped Moore County with 4:46 remaining in the contest.
Forrest drove all the way to the Raiders' 18-yard line where they had a fourth down and five with 1:10 to go in the contest.
The FMS comeback attempt was thwarted when Bell tackled Spitzley at the line of scrimmage with one minute and one second left in the game.
Moore County went into the victory formation, ending the Rockets' season.
Spitzley ended the season with 476 yards on 94 carries and he scored four touchdowns.
