The Duck River District of the Middle Tennessee Council of Boy Scout sof America presented Bobby Walker with their 2109 Marshall County Good Scout Award at a luncheon on Thursday.
The award celebrates those who have supported scouting while also making a difference and contributing to their community.
In his remarks, Lewisburg Mayor Jim Bingham noted the “crucial, critical part of this community” that Walker had been throughout his life.
“I’m grateful he has allowed us to honor him,” Bingham said.
Attendees at the luncheon pledged more than $5,000 to support area scouting programs.
