The Marshall County Sheriff's Office and Bedford County Sheriff's Office are asking for your help in locating a missing person.
Stephen Elsinger, 83, of Richmond Road in Petersburg was last seen by his wife, Glenda, at their residence around 2 p.m. on Monday, July 10.
He is described as 5-foot-8 tall and weighing 161 pounds, and was wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt with black suspenders, slip on shoes, and has gray hair.
When Mr. Elsinger went missing on Monday, he was on his way to his “man cave” – which is beside the residence – for a nap.
According to his wife, it is a normal routine for them both to take a nap around 2 p.m. and wake up around 5 p.m., but when Mrs. Elsinger went to check on him at approximately 5:20 p.m. he wasn’t there.
Mr. Elsinger does not have a phone and is traveling by foot.
He suffers from dementia and takes daily heart medication.
Various emergency services including K9 units and a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter searched and have been searching for Mr. Elsinger since his disappearance, and a missing person’s report was submitted to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
If you know of him or his whereabouts or should you happen to see him, please call 911 or the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at 931-359-6122.
