The dog days of spring
Saturday’s heat was enough to make a dog pant but dog lovers braved the heat at Rock Creek Park.
Lewisburg residents Sydney Karban and Bretta Kent pose with their best friends Chappy and Apollo at Bark in the Park.
Karban and Kent often go to pet friendly events. Both girls are a part of a dachshund-owner group. They regularly meet up with other dog owners and have several puppy play dates.
Chappy is a two-year-old dachshund. According to Sydney, he only loves his bed and his fur mama. Apollo is only 15 weeks old, and his owner says he loves bananas more than life.
The Lewisburg Police K-9 unit put on a demonstration of the abilities of their four-legged officers at Bark in the Park, as well.
K-9 Officer Dylan Lipinski wears a training sleeve so that Tango can show off his bite skill training.
