The mood was happy but subdued at the meeting in the Cornersville High School gym last Thursday.
It was to have been another public hearing to oppose the new landfill. Given that Waste Management Inc. had withdrawn its application for the landfill just hours before the meeting began, it might have become a victory party. Instead it turned into a discussion of where Marshall County goes from here.
