Lewisburg Lion Lewis Cope, second from left, was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship by Lion District Governor Phil Barnes. He received the award in recognition of his service to Lionism. Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the fellowship is one of the Lion Clubs International Foundation’s highest recognitions, honoring the commitment to humanitarian service. A Lion for 25 years, Lewis received a commemorative plaque and lapel pin acknowledging his dedication to the foundation’s humanitarian goals. He has served the Lewisburg Club for many years as treasurer. Pictured, from left, are Lion President Louis Scheuchenzuber, Lewis Cope, Linda Cope, and District Governor Phil Barnes.
