Tommy Leroy Bryant, 36, of Rambo Hollow Road, allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl in late December 2012, and again in January and March this year.

On this jail intake sheet, Bryant's occupation is listed as "disabled." His bond was set at $60,000, but Bryant made bond and was out of jail less than six hours after being booked in. His retained attorney is M. Matt Milligan of Franklin.

Also indicted was James A. Wright, 71, of Yell Road. He is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wright had more than 100 marijuana plants in a sophisticated growing operation equipped with lights, irrigation, timers, and fans. Wright has a retained attorney.

Jimmy D. Lentz, 39, of Heil Avenue, was charged with aggravated burglary and three counts of aggravated assault. On July 9, he allegedly pushed open the door of a home on Haynes Street and "entered the residence with a large rock in his hand, held high at head level and came toward them (one man and one woman) in a threatening manner, placing them in fear for their safety," wrote Lewisburg Police Officer Dac Burrow on Lentz's arrest warrant. The Public Defender's Office was appointed to represent Lentz, who remains jailed.

Bobby Joe Campbell, 48, of Phillips Street, was also charged with two counts of aggravated assault after he allegedly tried to strangle a woman on Dec. 27.

Aivar Lang, 25, of Shelbyville, who pleaded guilty to drug charges earlier this summer, has been indicted on new charges. Lang is now charged with sale and delivery of an imitation controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver an imitation controlled substance, and delivery of an imitation controlled substance. Lang allegedly sold "Kush," a synthetic marijuana which is on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's banned list, to a confidential informant working for the 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force, according to warrants written by Agent Shane Daugherty.

Readers are reminded that indictment constitutes only charges and under the American system of justice, every person is presumed innocent until they plead guilty or their guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
