Lions Super Pull pulls into Chapel Hill
Pictured at a previous Lions Super Pull of the South is a Heavy Super Stock Diesel tractor, pulling an Ironman sled, operated by Vaughn Bauer of Paton, Iowa. Spectators at this weekend's truck and tractor pull in Chapel Hill will see "the best equipment in the nation," according to organizer Chris Gilbert. Competitors and fans from all over the country are converging on Chapel Hill for one of the best pulls in the nation. It is being filmed for RFD-TV and will be available pay-per-view on the Internet, said Gilbert, but watching on the small screen will be nothing like the thrill of being there, experiencing the smoke, noise and excitement first-hand. There will be lots of displays, too, so come on out Friday and Saturday nights, Gilbert urges. "It's the biggest show in this part of the country," he exclaimed. And remember, it's all for a good cause: profits are spent by the Lions Club on projects that directly benefit Chapel Hill and Marshall County.
