Chapel Hill’s Ronald Wayne Headley III recently completed his Eagle Scout project.
Most Boy Scouts, only about six percent of whom achieve the organization’s highest award of Eagle Scout, complete the process when they are 17 years old.
Headley has finished the required project for the award at the age of 12, to go with the 71 merit badges he has also earned.
He identified a need for the town to have a flag repository in which to store and transport flags in a respectful manner and put together a team to construct one for the town, which is now housed in the town hall.
