DAR Constitution Week
President of the Lewisburg Daughters of the American Revolution Elinor Foster (left) and member Quinn Brandon Stewart flank County Mayor Joe Boyd Liggett with the resolution marking Constitution Week. The DAR began observing the week marking the signing of the Constitution on Sept. 17, 1787, in 1955 to encourage study of the framing of the Constitution, to educate on the importance of the document in America identity, and to remind citizens of their responsibility to protect, defend, and preserve the Constitution.
