Thefts and vandalism reported
* A family member of a resident reported a one-karat diamond ring, worth $5,000, went missing at Village Manor between 9 p.m. June 20 and 9:30 a.m. June 21.
* Between 8:30 p.m. June 21 and 5:30 a.m. June 22, a gray 1987 four-wheel-drive Ford F-250 truck, worth $3,500, was unhitched from the trailer it was hooked up to and driven away from the owner's home on Collier Road. The truck has a gray aluminum tool box, aluminum bullet-hole wheels, and a gray primer tail gate.
* Between 8 p.m. June 14 and 7 a.m. June 18, $3,000 worth of damage was done to a 2007 Chevy Impala parked at the owner's home on 6th Avenue North. Damage included several dents, and a deep scratch all the way across the trunk.
* A Lewisburg woman reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department she sent $2,900 by Moneygram to a representative of "Google Wallet" to buy a boat in Colorado that was on Craigslist. The person emailed her asking for $1,800 more for "insurance," and then the victim found out he was not from Google Wallet at all.
* A Chapel Hill man reported to Marshall County Sheriff's Department a black Brinks lockbox was taken from under his bed sometime between June 3 and 18. There were no signs of forced entry because the house is always unlocked. The contents of the box, worth a total of $2,000, included gold and silver coins, watches, knives, a necklace, and some rings.
* While a Chapel Hill man was at work on June 18, someone broke the back window of his Chevy Blazer. The glass will cost an estimated $400 to replace.
* A resident of 6th Avenue South had the passenger window of his 1999 Ford Escort broken, allegedly by neighborhood children who were throwing rocks on June 23. The window will cost $300 to replace. A child admitted breaking the window, and his mother offered to pay for it.
* On June 15, three checks were stolen from a Lewisburg woman, written, and cashed at a local store for a total of $240.
* At 9:52 p.m. June 15, a man loaded a gas grill onto a shopping cart and left Walmart without paying for it. It was a Backyard Grill five-burner gas grill worth $198. Lewisburg Police Detective Santiago McKlean has video surveillance footage of the theft.
* The mailbox of a home on Crestview Drive, worth $100, was damaged when a TV was thrown, or fell, out of the back of a passing truck and hit the mailbox.
* Between 8:30 and 9:35 p.m. June 21, someone punched out the ignition switch of a Lewisburg woman's 1999 Pontiac Sunfire, probably in an attempt to steal it. They did steal some sunglasses, a carton of cigarettes, some music CDs, and a CD holder, worth a total of $56.40.
* The kill switch and horn button of a 2007 Honda motorcycle were damaged while the motorcycle was parked at the owner's home on Titan Way. The switch and button will cost an estimated $30 to repair.
* Between 2:45 and 3 p.m. June 22, a Walgreen employee's wallet was taken from her backpack in the break room. There was no cash in the wallet, but it did contain a social security card, a Bank of America debit card, and several store credit cards and gift cards.

* William A. McKnight, 22, Old Columbia Road. Bond: $3,000; court date: July 9. McKnight allegedly broke the sprinkler head in his cell at Marshall County Jail, flooding his cell, and the pod.

* Billy M. Basenberg, 52, Culleoka. Basenberg was extradited to Illinois on failure-to-appear and probation-violation charges.
Arrested and charged with driving under the influence
* Shane E. Jones, 39, Harwell Avenue. Bond; $4,500; court date: Aug. 5. Also charged with driving on a revoked license, and cited for failure to provide proof of insurance, speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, and misuse of a tag. This is allegedly Jones' fourth DUI.
* David R. Metcalf Jr., 40, Cornersville. Bond: $4,000; court date: Aug. 12. Additional charges: violation of the implied consent law, resisting arrest, and two counts of reckless endangerment.

* Kellie P. Gray, 42, 3rd Avenue North. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 5.

* William D. Davis Jr., 47, Davis Street. Bond: $4,000; court date: July 29. Additional charges: interference with emergency calls, vandalism, and theft of services.
* Burma J. McLean, 51, Saint Anne Street. Bond: $1,000; court date: Aug. 12.

* Daniel T. Phelps, 35, Verona Caney Road. Bond: $2,000; court date: Aug. 5. Additional charges: simple possession of Schedule IV and VI drugs and possession of a Legend drug.
