The grand opening of the futuristic-looking building on Rock Crusher Road attracted a standing-room-only crowd last Wednesday. But Ascend is no Johnny-come-lately to the local financial scene.
"This is really a grand re-opening for us," explained Kim York, Ascend's vice president of marketing. "We've had a facility in Lewisburg for 15 years now."
Visitors to the new facility will find the changes don't stop once you step inside. There are computer screens for those customers who might wish to complete their transactions online. Missing are the more familiar teller cages. That's by design.
