Cornersville Middle and High School would like to announce the February Students of the Month: seventh grader Clara Jean Thompson and junior Elizabeth Taylor. Clara Jean’s teachers describe her as dedicated, hard-working, kind and respectful. She performs well academically and is a good friend to her classmates. Clara Jean was the top fund raiser for the middle school magazine sale and the first student to donate items for Louisiana flood victims. As one teacher put it, Clara Jean is the model Student of the Month. Elizabeth’s teachers and coaches describe her as a pleasant, kind, helpful young lady who puts others above herself. Even though Elizabeth is very quiet, her classmates know they can depend on her for help or a kind word if they need it. Her gentle personality has a positive impact on those around her both in the classroom and on the soccer field. Elizabeth is one of those students who makes Cornersville High School a great place to be. The Cornersville Student of the Month program is sponsored by the Cornersville McDonald’s restaurant. Selected students receive a t-shirt, food coupons, and tickets to a seasonal game from the Cornersville Athletic Department.
