* The Education Committee will meet Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will be held at Marshall County Board of Education, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg, TN.
* The A, B, C & D's of Medicare will have it's first class of 2017 in Mount Pleasant at the SCTDD complex. This class is sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging and Disability. This class will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 18. The class will be held at 101 Sam Walkins Blvd. Mount Pleasant, TN 38474. The class time is 9 a.m. to noon. The class is for those new to Medicare or anyone who has Medicare questions. Topics covered are: what is the difference between Medicare Part A and B? Do I wait until full retirement age before enrolling in Medicare? Should I sign up for Medicare if I am still working? How do I choose the best Part D plan? * The South Central Human Resource Agency Head Start/Early Head Start policy council meeting will meet at 10:30 a.m. on January 19, 2017, at the South Central Human Resource Agency Central Office in Fayetteville, TN.
* The Marshall County records Committee will meet on Jan. 23, 2017, at 5 p.m. in room 2204 in the Courthouse Annex.
* The Emergency Management Agency Committee will meet Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. This meeting will be held at Hardison Annex, 230 College Street, Suite 100, Lewisburg, TN.
* The Board of Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of Cornersville will have a special called meeting at Town Hall on Jan. 26, 2017, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
* Lewisburg Electric System's Board of Directors will hold their regular Board meeting on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at 6 p.m. at the LES office, 599 W. Ellington Pkwy. The meeting is open to the public.
* The Community Development Board of the City of Lewisburg will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday, January 31, 2017-12 p.m., at the Historic 1st Avenue Building, 207 1st Avenue.
* Marshall County Youth Baseball/Softball League will have sign ups every Saturday in January from 10-2 at the following locations: Lewisburg Recreation Center, Cornersville High School, Delk-Hensen Intermediate School, and Richard Cashion Complex. Boys must be 4 by April 30, and girls must be 4 by December 31. The price for one player is $50, 2 players $70, and 3 or more $90.
