The Marshall County School Board voted 6-3 Monday night to fire Schools Director Stan Curtis.
Curtis, who was hired prior to the 2008-2009 school year, was supported only by members Mark Wilkerson, Kristin Gold and Todd Tietgens. Gold and Tietgens resigned after the vote.
Roy Dukes has been elevated to interim schools director. He had been the assistant director. There was no word on when Dukes' former position will be filled.
