Auditions for The Fly Arts Center's spring play, Moonlight & Magnolias, will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, and 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at The Fly, 204 South Main St., Shelbyville. The cast consists of three adult males and one adult female. Play dates are March 10, 11, 17, 18 and 19. The play will be directed by April Glosson-Smith. * The Berlin Community Fire Department will host their annual community pot luck supper on Jan. 10, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center. Come join a community event and learn about your local fire department, bring your favorite dish, and enjoy everyone's company. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please come by and introduce yourself.

* A free concert by SoFree, a women's ensemble from the University of Mobile will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, 323 Avenue North, on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 7-8 p.m. The public is invited.

* The Senior Center Needlework group is now meeting every Monday at 2 p.m. The group meets at the Senior Center located at 230 College St. in Lewisburg. Membership is free for Senior Citizens 55 years old and older. For more information call 359-1808.

* Forrest Alumni Association will host a Trivia Night, Saturday Jan. 28, 2017, at the new Forrest Auxiliary Gym at 403 South Horton Parkway, Chapel Hill. Teams of up to six will compete, with funds raised going to scholarships for Forrest graduates. Contact Becky Delk (931)703-7074 for more information.

* Forrest Alumni Association Celebrates 100 Years of Women's Basketball at Forrest School. Calling all girls who played basketball at Forrest since 1916-17! On Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, all women players will be recognized during the game.
