COLLEGE GROVE --Abe Lincoln Presenter, Whit McMahon, will be the guest speaker for FiftyForward's Birthday Potluck luncheon this Jan. 18. Lunch will be served at 11:30, and the program will begin about noon. There is no charge to attend, however, diners are asked to bring a side dish.

Dressed in full period costume, McMahon will recount Lincoln's story in the first person, from his boyhood and later experiences as a circuit lawyer, through his presidency, the Civil War, and his untimely assassination. "As a living historian," McMahon says, "my goal is to provide a taste of a bygone era and a sense of our nation's greatest struggle."

Birthday Potluck is held every third Wednesday at the Center to celebrate members whose birthday occurs in that month. The Center provides the main course and everyone brings a side dish. FiftyForward College Grove is located at 8607 Horton Highway.
