Martin Methodist Executive Director of Athletics Jeff Bain was recently honored as one of the top athletic directors in the country by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. Bain, who just completed his 22nd year at the helm of the RedHawk Athletic Department, was one of four NAIA athletic directors and one of just 28 across all classifications to be named Under Armour AD of the Year by NACDA. more

MCHS graduate Dusty Nance continued his exceptional performance as the longsnapper for Carson-Newman College as he was one of seven Eagle athletes honored with postseason All-South Atlantic Conference honors. Carson-Newman has never had an extra point, punt or field goal blocked in Nance's three seasons as the program's longsnapper. That's 172 extra points, 50 field goals and 98 punts without a block. more

Forrest's Ty Hoeft is the epitome of a team player and one who displayed heart and resilience in his four years as a Rocket and it did not go unnoticed as the multi-purpose guard recently signed a Letter of Intent to attend Martin Methodist College in Pulaski. "Being from Chapel Hill I am used to the small town feel and Pulaski is going to be that same type of atmosphere," said Hoeft. "Their basketball program has been very consistent the past four years, including a Final Four berth and two Sweet Sixteen berths and that level of consistency is one of the top things you look for in a program." more
The University of Tennessee at Martin softball program will host a two-day Exposure and Skills Development Camp for players from age 13 to graduating high school seniors on Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11, at Bettye Giles Softball Field in Skyhawk Park. more
