Football season is getting underway around the county and one local football product from Lewisburg has been placed on a preseason All-Conference team. Dusty Nance a 2011 graduate from Marshall County High School now a junior at Carson-Newman has been selected to the South Atlantic Conference first team as the longsnapper. Nance ends a 3 year streak by conference rival Newberry at the longsnapper position and since starting at the position as a freshman the Eagles had not allowed a blocked kick or punt until Nance was sidelined with a shoulder injury last season. Nance will be suited up and back at the longsnapper position when the Eagles open up against the Edinboro Scots on September 4th.
