William Paul “Bill” Wallace, Sr., 91, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at NHC Oakwood. He was a native of Columbus, KS, the son of the late Glenn Raymond and Mary Williams Wallace. He retired from the State of Tennessee/Marshall County Department of Health, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a Melvin Jones Award recipient while a member of the Lions Club, and served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War...

William Paul “Bill” Wallace, Sr., 91, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at NHC Oakwood.

He was a native of Columbus, KS, the son of the late Glenn Raymond and Mary Williams Wallace. He retired from the State of Tennessee/Marshall County Department of Health, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a Melvin Jones Award recipient while a member of the Lions Club, and served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by parents; one sister, Elizabeth Wallace Lewis of Clarksville; and one daughter-in-law, Julie Campbell Wallace.

He is survived by his wife, Aleta Jane Fraser Wallace; one daughter, Melanie Wallace Jay of Nashville; one son, William Paul (Kami) Wallace, Jr. of Lewisburg; one brother, Charles Raymond (Jean) Wallace of Macon, GA; and three grandchildren, Will Wallace, Andy Wallace, Lou Jay Derrick; one great-grandchild, Weston Derrick of Chattanooga; and three nieces, Nancy Ladd, Mary Lou Witherspoon, and Beth Wallace.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, at 1 p.m. from the Lewisburg First United Methodist Church 325 W. Church St. Lewisburg, TN with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will begin Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at London Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday until just before the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club Sight Conservation program.

Honorary Pallbearers: Methodist Church Choir members, Lions Club members, Fellowship Class, “Old Geezers at McDonalds”, Golf buddies, and Pool buddies at the Senior Citizen center, James R. Fraser, Bill & John Hatfield, Carey Wallace, Hogan Lewis, Jerry Witherspoon, Pauline Perryman, Paula Hurt Walker, and Paul Hayes.

London Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
