Helpful game
Although his team was unable to come away with the win, Marshall County coach Mark Redferrin was encouraged by his players' performance and believes the late season matchup against the Lady Falcons will help the Tigerettes get ready for the playoffs.
"I'm very happy with how we played tonight. Of course I would have liked to have won on Senior Night, but Lincoln County is a very skilled and a very knowledgeable team. I was pleased with the way that we competed," said Redferrin. "This team is nearly identical to Spring Hill. We're probably going to be playing Spring Hill in the first round of the District tournament so facing this team really helps us prepare for them."

The Lady Falcons held a considerable edge in possession time and outshot the Tigerettes 11-3 overall.
Anna Barnes, Caragan Treola, and Kelsey Graham scored one goal apiece for Lincoln County with Barnes and Treola each registering an assist. Carly Fee also notched an assist for the Lady Falcons. Lincoln County goaltender Ashley Yatsko finished with three saves en route to recording the shutout.

The Lady Falcons wasted little time getting on the board and took a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the match when Treola took a pass from Barnes on the left side of the net and lined a 10-yard shot between Ford's legs.
Scoring try
After Ford stopped a close range shot by Barnes in the 19th minute, Ray tried to head in a corner kick by Abbey Redferrin in the 20th minute, but Yatsko deflected the ball away from the net to maintain Lincoln County's one-goal lead.
Barnes then gave the Lady Falcons a 2-0 advantage a few moments later by rifling a 15-yard shot just inside the left post in the 20th minute after receiving a pass from Treola on the right side of the field.
Marshall County had a chance to cut into the deficit late in the first half when Cross won a loose ball in front of the Lincoln County net, but Yatsko caught Cross's low, line drive shot to keep the Tigerettes off the board.
LC stretches lead
In the second half, Graham and Fee teamed up for a goal to stretch the Lady Falcons' lead to 3-0. After Fee launched a crossing pass from the left side of the field to the front of the MCHS goal, Graham redirected the ball in midair into the lower left hand corner of the net.
The Tigerettes were unable to muster another scoring threat until the waning moments of the contest when Yatsko deflected a 15-yard shot by Wilson to preserve the shutout.
Marshall County returns to action next Tuesday when they host the Middle Tennessee Crusaders at 5:00 p.m.
