Tigerttes win Athens Bible School Invite

Athens, Ala. — The Marshall County High School cross country teams had an excellent showing in a huge field of competition during the Athens Bible School Meet, which was held last week.
The Tigerettes took first-place overall in the large school division and were led by Lydia Molina and Sarina Yamashita’s one-two punch, as the Tigerettes pair finished eighth and ninth overall in the race.
Molina crossed the finish line in 24:16 during the 5K race, while Yamashita turned in a 24:59 final time.
The Tigerettes went on to place four more runners in the top 15 to help secure the slim team victory.
Brady Phillips and Abbie Collins finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in 25:20 and 25:34.
Kendall Adams followed in 13th overall and turned in a 25:55, while Karlie Lohr finished her race in 26:06. 
Krew Capps was the top finisher for the Tigers as he crossed the finish line in sixth-place overall in 19:10 to lead the Tigers.
Other finishers for the Tigers include Ayden Cook, who turned in a 22:18, McKinley Allen, who finished in 23:36, and Alex Patino, who finished in 24:34.
