She was the daughter of the late George and Julia Blackmon Cook and the wife of the late Cecil O. Ray. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Margaret (Arthur) McKamey, Bead (Elizabeth) Cook, Earl (Virginia) Cook, Barbara Westmoreland, Fred (Martha) Cook, Herman (Grace) Morgan and Floyd (Wanda) Cook.
She is survived by her children, Emmett (Beverly) Ray, Diane (Ricky) Howell, Michael (Cindy) Ray; sisters, Vivian (Dick) Thorpe, Yvonne “Cookie” (Thurman) Adcock; brother, Harvey (Linda) Cook; four grandchildren, Summer (Ron) Leverette, Renee (David) King, Matthew Ray, Shelley (Dale) Warren; two step-grandchildren, Duane (Jill) Roach, Scott (Cara-Anne) Roach; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
