Shawn Francine Brown, 53, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Lincoln Medical Center.
She was born in Lincoln County on Feb. 20, 1961, to the late Mary Alyce Shull Brown and Edward Brown, who survives. She was a teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School in Lewisburg.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, Terrance Gilbert; daughter, Jakerra Simmons; son, Kendric Hall; sisters, Beverly Brown and Pixie Brown; brothers, Daryl Brown and Tony Brown; grandchildren, Ashariah Gonzalez-Hall and Kendrell Hall; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tracey Duke and Lisa Jagod.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 3, at Ninth Grade Academy in Fayetteville. Burial followed in Pleasant View Cemetery.
