Marshall County High School senior Abby Self has left her mark on the bowling program in Lewisburg, qualifying for the Division I Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) State Bowling Championships for the second year in a row.
Self, who finished 30th last season, came in to the tournament at the Smyrna Bowling Center ranked 29th in the state this year with a 173.3 average, the second highest in District 8.
Self received an automatic bid to the tournament and finished in 13th place, rolling games of 151, 166, 154, and 203, missing the 6 Person Championship roll off by 39 pins. One more spare (10 points per game) would have put her there.
