'School Board Appreciation Week'
County Mayor Joy Boyd Liggett signs a proclamation recognizing Jan. 20-26 as 'School Board Appreciation Week' in Marshall County. 'Our Board's job is to determine a vision for education, then to help design a structure to achieve that vision, while assuring the schools are accountable to the local community and advocate for continuous improvement in student learning. These responsibilities require both time and service. We are grateful to our Board for their willingness to serve the citizens and, more importantly, the students of Marshall County,' said Marshall County Director of Schools Nancy Aldridge. Pictured here from left, are board members Tim Harrison, Todd Tietgens, Kristen Gold, John McCullough, Todd Warner, Ann Tears, Randy Perryman, and Craig Michael. Not pictured is Jerry Campbell. The board members were also recognized at halftime of the MCHS Boys' varsity basketball game Tuesday.
