Roy Wayne Giles, 68, of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, in Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Mr. Giles was a native of the Thick Community in the northern end of Marshall County. He was the son of the late Kitt and Edde Lou McElhaney Giles. He was a graduate of Cornersville High School, Class of 1963. He was the Regional Vice President of Farm Credit Services before his retirement, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Giles, and sister, Richie Jett.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Giles, two sons, Scott (Cindy) Giles and Greg (Donna) Giles, all of Lewisburg; brother, Bud Giles of Manchester; four sisters, Dorothy Beasley of Unionville, Hazel Harmon of Cornersville, Betty Tapley of Cornersville, and Cathey Davis of Cornersville; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Sept. 14, from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home. Mr. Giles' body will be cremated following the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Cornersville High School Library, or the charity of your choice.
Cornersville Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
