Roy Able Bishop, 77, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bishop was a native of Ricetown, Ky. and son of the late Leonard Bishop and Lydia Reed Bishop Howard. He was the Plant Manager for Burner Systems.
Preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Herrington Bishop, in 2011, he is survived by two sons, Daniel Wayne Bishop of South Berlin and Joey Dale Bishop of Lewisburg; three daughters, Vickie Layne Simpson of Pinson, Tenn., Jennifer Delane Wiggins of Chesnut Mound, Tenn., and Mary Angela Swearengin of Knoxville; two brothers, Ben Bishop of Lebanon, Ohio, and Carl Bishop of Morrow, Ohio; a sister, Maggie Couch of Batavia, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 25, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, followed by burial in New Hope Cemetery at Ostella.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
