Robert Wilson “Bobby” Chaffin passed away peacefully Friday evening, July 17, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Gallatin, TN on Jan. 21, 1945, and was 75 years old. Robert Wilson “Bobby” Chaffin passed away peacefully Friday evening, July 17, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Gallatin, TN on Jan. 21, 1945, and was 75 years old. Bobby was a veteran of the US Army National Guard. He was retired from Bell South and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pulaski. First and foremost, he loved spending time with his family. Bobby had a passion for antiques, being outdoors, and fishing.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery with full military honors. Tony Gomillion will be officiating. The family suggest that attendees at the graveside service wear masks. Memorial donations are suggested to First Baptist Church, 407 South First Street, Pulaski, TN. 38478 or the Giles County Animal Shelter, 380 Bennett Drive Pulaski, Tn 38478.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Julia Haynie Chaffin and a brother, James Thomas Chaffin. He is survived by his wife, Ann Todd Chaffin of Pulaski; daughter, Kathryn Chaffin Hawkins of Cornersville, son-in-law, Thomas Hale Hawkins, IV of Cornersville; granddaughter, Marsha Haley Hawkins, grandson, Thomas Hale Hawkins, V, granddaughter, Anna Marie Hawkins, grandson, Robert Coble Hawkins, all of Cornersville; brother, Ernest Glenn Chaffin of Pulaski; sister, Virginia Williams Swafford of Franklin; sister-in-law, Charlotte Chaffin Kirby of Nashville; brother-in-law, Stephen Matthew Todd and wife, Niki of Murfreesboro; five nieces; six nephews; and a multitude of friends also survive.
