Mr. Caneer was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Sidney Floyd and Neatho Elizabeth Underwood Caneer. Robert Ellis Caneer, 75, of Cornersville, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Caneer was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Sidney Floyd and Neatho Elizabeth Underwood Caneer. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Brown & Root Telephone Construction Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, June Collins, and brother, G.D. Caneer.
He is survived by one son, David Ellis (Vickie) Caneer of Farmington; two brothers, Floyd Nathaniel Caneer of Meadville, Pa., and Sidney Foster Caneer of Cornersville; one sister, Addean Wilburn of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Angelia Beaver, Christina Caneer, and Candace Caneer; and three great-grandsons, Memphis Layne Caneer, Kyler Takota Pirkle, and Kaysen Eli Caneer.
A memorial service was conducted Thursday, June 6, from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home.
Cornersville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
