Rickie Eugene Wright, 58, entered Heaven’s Gate on Nov. 15, 2017. He was born July 4, 1959, to the late Howard Eugene Wright and Lois Christine Neal Wright, who survives.

Rickie attended Lincoln County schools and was a member of the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was very active in the church and the community and was a member of the Petersburg Lions Club. He achieved his dream of owning and driving his beloved rail racing car. He was a lifelong mechanic and owner of R.E. Wright Garage at Petersburg.

He is survived by his mother, Christine Wright of Fayetteville, TN; his wife, Gayle Wright of Petersburg, TN; three sisters: Sandy (Bud) Richardson of Mooresville, TN, Evonne (William) Lynch of Lewisburg, TN, Rhonda (Raymond) Albert of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Connelly (Jolanda) Wright and Tony Williams all of Flintville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin/friend, James A. Wright.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew & Emma Sue Chrisman Wright and J. T. & Lois Neal.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Green and Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
