Orville Keith Adkison, 88, of Petersburg, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, in NHC Lewisburg.
Mr. Adkison was a native of Detroit, MI and son of the late George Franklin and Zetta Rozella Atnip Adkison. He retired as a department manager in the grocery business and was a member of the Nazarene Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Camille (Darrell) Adams of Michigan, and Veronica (Eric) Anderson of GA; a sister, Betty Davis of MI; a brother, Kenneth (Fran) Adkison of MI; six grandchildren, Bela, Jeremy, Alicia, Derek, Jacob and Kaitlyn; eight great grandchildren, Cassandra, Alanna, Lucas, Aeris, Giana, Makenzie, Jackson and Parker; and a special friend and companion, Betty Solomon of Petersburg. Love and kindness of friends, Sally Phillips and Patricia Burgett.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery in Petersburg.
The family was at London Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
London Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
