Lula Mae Hillis, 82, of Flintville, died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009, in the Lincoln Medical Center.
Mrs. Hillis was a native of Madison County, Ala. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Lizzie Holder Painter, and her husband, Hoyte Hillis.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris Perryman of Lewisburg and Cindy Pitts of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Ashley (Derrick) Lankford of Hazel Green, Ala.; and a great-grandson, Hayden Lankford.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 16, from the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home, followed by burial in Flintville Cemetery.
