Nellie "Elizabeth" Brashears Powers Trammel Cole, 80, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A native of Giles County, Mrs. Cole was the wife of Donald Cole of Lewisburg, and the daughter of the late Thomas W. Brashears and Zana Parks Brashears. She was a member of the Farmington Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, James Boaz, Lindsey Boaz, Waylon Boaz, and Thomas Brashears; a sister, Lucille Pierce; and a grandson, Billy Ray Powers.
Mrs. Cole is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Robertson; four sons, Billy Powers, Thomas Powers, James (Wendi) Powers, and Joe (Lisa) Powers; one stepdaughter, Casey (Dennis) Tindell; one stepson, Phillip Cole; and one granddaughter, Tammie Burger. Seven other grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cole were held Sunday, Aug. 18, at Valhalla Funeral Home, Huntsville, Ala., followed by entombment in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home & Crematory was in charge of the local arrangements.
