Michael Kevin Hood, 51, of the Spring Place Community, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Hood was a native of Williamson County, and son of the late Van Hood and Mary Catherine Deason Hayes of the Spring Place Community. He was a member of the St. James Primitive Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister, Vicki Dunnivant of the Spring Place Community.
Graveside services were conducted by Steve Acklin on Thursday, Nov. 29, in Short Cemetery.
Serving as honorary pall bearers were Terry Deason, Justin Deason, Chris Osborne, Mike Deason, Ross Goodin, Bubba Deason, Stephen Dunnivant, and Johnathon Jacobs.
There was no visitation prior to the graveside service.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
