Mary Elizabeth Rogers Baker of Lewisburg passed away in Pulaski on July 30, 2020. She was born in Petersburg, TN on June 26, 1932.
Mary loved sports, champagne, flowers and the outdoors. She had affection for water with frequent trips to the beaches in Florida and South Carolina and many trips to the Tennessee River. She played golf, tennis and bridge often. She was an active gardener and belonged to many garden clubs. She attended and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.
Mary treated all with love and respect and loved entertaining friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fishburne Baker; brother, Billy Joe Rogers; son, Harvey Roger Dickerson; parents J.D. and Sara Thomas Rogers; stepfather, Joseph David Nash; son-in-law, Mark Randall Fairbanks.
Mary is survived by one brother, Joseph David (Kim) Nash of Shelbyville; son, David Woodrow (Julie Ann) Dickerson of Naples, FL.; daughters, Sara Fairbanks of Lewisburg, TN and Elizabeth (Robert) Massey of Pulaski, TN; grandchildren, David Matthew Dickerson, Sarah Katherine Dickerson, Zachary Rogers Dickerson, and James Cale Shelton.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, 325 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
There will be no service at this time due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Bennett-May and Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
