Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Cook, 91, of Lewisburg, formerly of Columbia, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cook was a native of Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late John Bright and Jennie Maude Murray Cooper. She was a retired administrative assistant with Social Security. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, where she had formerly served as an Elder and a Deacon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Edward Cook.
She is survived by two sons, John Cook of Belfast and Jeff Cook of Lewisburg; six grandsons, Nathaniel Cook, Jack Cook, Elliot Cook, Stuart Cook, Warren Cook, and Matt Cathey; and two granddaughters, Jenny Cook and Lee Perryman. Seven great-grandchildren -- Anthony Cook, Aiden Cook, Markus Cook, Camilla Cook, Harper Cook, Paige Fuller, and Abbie Perryman -- also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 11 a.m Thursday, May 23, from the chapel of London Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. Thursday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, 801 South High Street, Columbia, TN 38401 or the United Methodist Women, in care of Dixie Waters, Treasurer, 325 West Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
