Martha Elizabeth Shelton Wright, 79, of Lewisburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in NHC Healthcare Oakwood in Lewisburg.

A native of Lincoln County, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Robert Washington Shelton and Kathleen Susan Adcox Shelton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Farmington Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Sidney Wright Sr., who passed away in 2012; three brothers, Ray Shelton, Jimmy Shelton, and Cecil Shelton; and two sisters, Jean Shelton Adams and Dorothy Shelton Mills.

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Debbie) Wright and Mack Wright, both of Lewisburg; two brothers, Robert Lee Shelton and Lonnie Shelton; two sisters, Sue Darnell and Connie Wright; three grandsons, Jason, Justin, and Jacob Wright; and two granddaughters, Julie Wright and Kendra Helton. Four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive, along with several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wright was looking forward to the arrival of another great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wright were held Saturday, April 27, from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Tom Sumners officiating. Burial followed in Lone Oak Cemetery.
