Malachi Johnson Sr., 95, of Triune, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013.

Mr. Johnson was a member of Leipers Fork Primitive Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Malachi and Amelia Johnson; wife, Evie Ann Still Johnson; daughter, Wilma Faye Jones; eight brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by sons, Charles (Denbra) Johnson of Triune, Millard (Kay) Johnson of Murfreesboro, Frank (Betty) Johnson of Smyrna, Malachi (Vickie) Johnson Jr. of Unionville, Mike (Ivey) Johnson of Lewisburg, and Gary (Melissa) Johnson of Nolensville; daughters, Ann (Bud) Pugh of Chapel Hill, Juanita (Rodney) Cloud of Franklin, Thelma (Jim) Cast of Lewisburg, and Elaine (Randy) Gourley of Portland, Tenn.; son in-law, Ben Jones of Nashville, 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alene Tomlin of Smyrna and Jean (Claude) Still of Smyrna; and several other loving family members.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Elder Clifton Johnson and Elder Doyle Hurst officiating.

Burial followed in Johnson Hollow Cemetery.

Grandsons Greg Johnson, Greg Halmayr, Brant Jones, David Cloud, Drew Johnson, Travis Johnson, Shane Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and Ryan Poole served as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Leipers Fork Primitive Baptist Church.

Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
