The Forrest Lady Rockets had a fruitful Saturday at the Shelbyville Eagelette Rumble Play Day, winning their first two games before dropping a pair.
Forrest started out with a 6-3 win over Tullahoma in the opening game, scoring four runs in the first inning to take a lead they would never surrender.
Savannah Brothers drove home two runs in the frame on a double and Mandi Conley knocked in two more runs on a triple.

Forrest-Tullahoma
Forrest started out with a 6-3 win over Tullahoma in the opening game, scoring four runs in the first inning to take a lead they would never surrender.
Savannah Brothers drove home two runs in the frame on a double and Mandi Conley knocked in two more runs on a triple.
Tullahoma came back with three runs in the bottom of the inning with the big blow coming on a two-run single by Anna Kristen Crouch.
In the top of the third, Katie Warrick doubled and Piper Elmore came on to run for the Forrest pitcher, before scoring from third base on a passed ball to make it 5-3.
Liz Daughrity tripled to lead off the fourth inning and scored on a Tullahoma error moments later to put FHS up 6-3.
The game ended in the bottom of the inning as time ran out on the Lady Wildcats in the drop-dead affair.
The games were slated for 75 minutes and no matter what the score was, the contest was over after the time limit expired.
Warrick picked up the win in the circle for Forrest, hurling 3 1/3 innings of two-hit ball, while giving up one earned run.
Warrick struck out eight and walked one in the contest.
Forrest-Marshall Co.
In game two for Forrest, the Lady Rockets were pitted against intra-county foe MCHS and the stands were packed with fans from Marshall County, witnessing the battle.
The Tigerettes scored first, beginning with Morgan Moyers reaching on a Forrest error to lead off the game.
Madison Thomason sacrificed Moyers to second and McKenzie Jo Anderson drove Moyers home with an RBI base knock to right field.
Forrest came right back with two runs in the bottom of the first on RBI base hits by Brothers and Sara Jordan.
Jordan gained control in the circle for Forrest and held the Tigerettes in check in the next two innings before the Lady Rockets plated three more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Kiyoko Puca led off the rally with a slap hit and went to second on a passed ball.
Jessica Harmon drew a walk before Warrick knocked in Puca with an RBI single, making it 3-1.
One batter later, Jordan drilled another double, scoring Harmon and Elmore, who had come in to run for Warrick.
There was no scoring in the fourth inning.
Moyers led off the fifth inning with a shot to the fence in left, but was gunned down by Harmon, trying to stretch her hit to third base.
Thomason followed with a single to right, but Harmon came up with another big play on a force play at second base.
Austyn Whaley moved up to second base and Anderson stood on first after a Forrest error in the infield.
Ashton Watkins made the Lady Rockets pay for the miscue when she drove both runs home on a shot to right field.
Jordan got out of the inning with a strikeout and the game ended moments later as time ran out on the Tigerettes.
Jordan completed five innings for the win in the circle, giving up zero earned runs on six hits, while striking out one and walking one MCHS hitter.
Forrest-CA
In game three, Forrest ran into a buzz saw, losing 7-2 to Columbia Academy.
The Lady Bulldogs took a commanding 7-0 lead after four innings.
Forrest scored their only two runs of the contest on RBI base hits by Conley and Stacey Horton in the bottom of the fourth before time ran out on the Lady Rockets.
Forrest-Independence
The final contest for Forrest was against Independence and after a scoreless first inning, the Lady Eagles plated two runs in the top of the second on RBI hits by Lexi Aguillar and Shea Herrick.
In the top of third, five consecutive Independence hits, plus two Forrest errors in the field plated four more runs to make it a 6-0 contest.
The Lady Rockets were not in the quitting mood as Daughrity reached on an error to begin the bottom of the third inning.
Kelsey Darnell followed with a base on balls and Elmore took first base on another Independence miscue.
Margaret Bryan and Puca followed with RBI base on balls before Harmon made it a 6-3 ballgame with a fielder's choice RBI.
Warrick followed with another walk to re-load the sacks, but a 1-2 force at home and a pop-up to first base ended the FHS threat.
Warrick did not allow any more hits or runs in the top of the fourth and in the bottom of the frame, Amanda Patterson reached on an error before the clock struck zero on the Lady Rockets.
Forrest opens the regular season at home on Wednesday versus Community before travelling to Summertown for a doubleheader on Thursday.
