John Thomas Turner, 86, of Rockvale, Tenn., died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville.
Mr. Turner was a native of Marshall County, and he was the son of the late Robert Elmore and Nancy Emiline Estes Turner. He was a retired construction worker and carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Richards; son, Ricky Turner; brother, Robert Turner; and sisters, Bertie Harris and Jennie Hazelit.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Graves Turner of Rockvale; son, Robert "Robbie" Turner of Shelbyville; daughter, Betty Joe Jones of Unionville; brother, Bill Turner of Lewisburg; and four stepchildren. Eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Sept. 2, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Cochran Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
