Joe Louis Gentry, 78, died March 10, 2015, at Maury Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.
He was a son of the late Howard and Dovie Mai Gentry and was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Jones High School, employed by Belfast Feed Mill and a Grade A dairy farmer until his health failed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Howard Gentry, and four sisters, Bettye Flowers, Evelyn Cleveland, Barbara Turner and Pat Braden.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Gentry, and sons, Michael and Robert Gentry, all of Lewisburg; two sisters, Elizabeth Maxwell and Sarah Crutcher; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. March 14, at Greater First Baptist Church with Pastor William H. Johnson officiating.
Viewing begins at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Gentry Cemetery.
