A Lewisburg native, Jimmy was born on Aug. 26, 1948, to the late Joe Marshall Nix and the late Christine Colbert Nix. Jimmy was a devoted husband, father and provider, who was loved by many. He loved the Lord, his beloved wife, Patsy, his precious grandchildren, and his family. He was definitely a cut-up and jokester, always picking with someone. Jimmy enjoyed repairing lawn mowers, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the US Army from 1968-1969, and received a Purple Heart for his service. Mr. Nix was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and loved his church family very much. His favorite saying was “Every day is a good day.”

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Lawrence Nix of Lewisburg; daughter, April Lynn Nix (Bryan) Brewington of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Austin Brewington, Karli Brewington, Logan Brewington all of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Jody (Gladys Fay) Nix of Cornersville; sister, Faye Lentz of Lewisburg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty (JR) Watkins of Lewisburg; and special friends, Seth Buddy Warf and Larry Frazier.
