He was 25 years old and employed at CKNA Automotive.
He is survived by his parents, John Thomas Gilbert and Janella Goff Gilbert of Pulaski; brother, John Gilbert and wife Claudia of Murfreesboro; partner in life, Crystal Gilliam; several nieces and nephews; and two godsons, Tori and K.J.
The funeral service was conducted at noon Thursday, Oct. 20, from the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bro. Fitzgerald Gilbert officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
