Janie Frances Hill, 90, a life-long resident of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord from her earthly home on Third Avenue on Thursday morning, Jan. 21, 2021. She was born on March 29, 1930, in Giles County, to her parents, Bob T. and Stella Mae Burrow Hill, Sr. She graduated from Marshall Co. High School in 1949. She earned her Associate’s degree in Business from Columbia State Community College. Frances served the Lord throughout her life by serving others as a church secretary for 60 years; 30 years at First Baptist Church and 30 years at Parkview Baptist Church. Although never married, she had no children of her own, but she was like a second mother to many children and youth that she taught in church. She served in VBS, children and youth activities, and especially taught Children’s Bible Drill and Youth Sword Drill for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an older brother, Bob T. Hill, Jr.

She is survived by a sister, Nell Hill Webb of Lewisburg and a brother, George W. (Bettie) Hill of Huntingdon; two nieces, Linda (Don) Spitters of Murfreesboro and Kim (Jesse) Bridges of San Angelo, TX; and four nephews, Bob T. (Butch) Hill, III of Nashville, Frank (Robin) Webb of Lewisburg, Jack (Susan) Webb of Lewisburg, and Kevin Hill of Huntingdon. She also has seven great-nieces and nephews and twelve great- great-nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, with Bro. David Spray officiating. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery with nephews and great-nephews as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkview Baptist Church 1380 Ellington Pkwy. Lewisburg, TN 37091, in memory of Frances Hill to be used for SBC mission work.

London Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
