Janice Faylene Young, age 71, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, at Northside Murfreesboro.
She was a native of Marshall County, the daughter of the late RC and Nell Mauldin Gambill. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Young and a brother, Gerald Gambill.
She is survived by one daughter, Roxanne Cook (Stan Williams) of Murfreesboro; three sons, Paul Brent (Sherry) Baxter of Lewisburg, John Roy Polly of Shelbyville, and Anthony Dewayne Polly of Knoxville; one brother, Randy Gambill of Petersburg; two grandchildren, Amber (Neal) Nichols and Candace (Justin) Bodgett; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial following in Old Orchard Cemetery.
Visitation with the family began Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and continued Sunday until the funeral hour.
London Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family with the arrangements.
