James Renegar "JR" Johnston, 84, of Lewisburg, died Friday, July 26, 2013, in Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Johnston was a native of Lincoln County, and son of the late Russell and Anna Lou Renegar Johnston. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a salesman for Easy Pay Tire Store for many years and was a member of Church Street Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Johnston, in 2010, he is survived by one sister, Marie Head of California.
Graveside services were conducted Sunday, July 28, in Talley Cemetery at Cane Creek.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
