James R. Calahan, 79, of Cornersville, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2019, at NHC Murfreesboro.
He was a native of Marshall County, the son of the late Marvin and Lillie Harwell Calahan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Calahan, Jr. and Joe Mac Calahan.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Neese Calahan; daughter, Tammie Calahan Welch of Cornersville; son, Phillip Calahan (Paula) of Murfreesboro; sisters, Margaret Haynes, Sandy Barcheers and Maxine Luna; brothers, Jimmy Calahan and Billy Calahan; grandchildren, Katy Calahan Grissom, Kaleigh Welch, Zack Welch and Carson Calahan.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home, 310 North Main St., Cornersville, TN, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, until the funeral hour.
