James “Eddie” Dyer, 61, of Cornersville, TN, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018. Eddie graduated from Cornersville High School where he played football. He lived and worked in Murfreesboro for many years after high school, but eventually made his way back to Cornersville to be close to his parents.
Eddie is survived by his daughters, Tiffany (Chris) Treadway of Murfreesboro, Megan (Kevin) Drye, Jamie (Dustin) Carver, Holly Dyer, and step-son Derrick (Summer) McArdle, all of Wadsworth, OH, as well as his twin grandchildren, Chloe and Maddux Treadway of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by his loving sister and brothers, Yvonne Coggin, Phil Dyer, and John Dyer all of Cornersville, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother David Dyer, and his father and mother, Clay and Mildred Dyer.
Eddie loved the Lord with all his heart. Known as “Grandpa Eddie” to his grandchildren, he was a simple and tender hearted man whose greatest joys were his children, grandchildren, fishing, and caring for his stray cats. He also enjoyed watching football and Sunday morning preaching on television.
No arrangements will be made at this time.
Memorial donations can be given in Eddie’s memory to your local animal shelter, or to PAWS (Performing Animal Welfare Society).
